Dec 2014

2014 has been a most interesting year for the team at LifeTides, with many developers looking to establish a wider range of Retirement Lifestyle Villages and complexes. Those looking for an alternative Retirement Lifestyle have become more selective with the ownership model, the services and location is of primary importance. We are very excited that 2015 will see the completion of Summerley Court in Upper Kenilworth Cape Town. The team at LifeTides have been instrumental and involved at Summerley from the early planning stages of this Sectional Title Scheme for over 50’s where we have sold all our prime apartments and look forward to seeing our Summerley Court Members take occupation. As the year draws to a close we wish all our clients friends and families  Happy Holidays this festive season and a joyous New Year.

Alzheimer’s – a life worth living

Well-known specialist psychiatrists, Drs Simon Rubidge and Carla Freeman, will talk about 'reversable dementia' and answer life-enhancing questions about living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Find out whether hearing-loss treatments, delayed retirement and a healthy lifestyle can delay the onset of dementia; learn about tests for an early diagnosis, and if and when those living with Alzheimer’s should stop driving. Livewell Suites, Alzheimer’s South Africa and Alzheimer’s in Action support those caring for people living with memory impairment and memory loss, as well as the families impacted by this disease. The conference aims to create opportunity for the country’s leading psychiatrists, occupational therapists, dieticians and social workers to share the latest research, case studies and success stories.
